Project Story
01 / Challenge
A whole-home unfinished hardwood installation needed to connect the main floors with the stair and railing package. The project required those horizontal and vertical elements to feel related instead of reading as isolated selections.
02 / Approach
Noble installed unfinished hardwood, then completed the on-site finishing process for a natural direction. Stair and railing details were coordinated with the floor plan so landings, level changes, and the surrounding woodwork belonged to the same project language.
03 / Result
The Lawrence project carries a consistent natural hardwood character through the home and into the stair system, giving the new installation a deliberate, finished relationship from one level to the next.
Planning Note
Unfinished flooring creates room to coordinate the floor and stair package during the same on-site finishing process. For this Lawrence installation, that made the relationship between main floors, landings, treads, and railings an important part of the plan rather than a collection of separate finish decisions made at different stages.
